1.3 Membership
a) To register for membership the following information is needed: username, first name, surname, age (must be 14 years or older), full postal address and email address. All information must be kept current at all times. In case of a change the League admins must be informed in time. Another condition is access to an ISDN or ADSL internet connection and a PC with at least 1.5 GHz, a GeForce 3 or higher and at least 512 MB of RAM. The current required configuration must always be known to the League admins and can be viewed in "Details".
b) After registering, being accepted by the League admins and paying the seasonal fee of EUR 3, a players account will be made and unlocked for one season. The player will receive login information and be entered into a league by the League admins.
c) Registration is only possible at the beginning of a season.
d) Membership can be ended by the League admins without previous notice any time these rules are violated. Written explanation will be given.
e) Players can only cancel their membership at the end of a season.
f) Membership will initially only be valid for one season. It can be extended by the player by paying the next seasonal fee of EUR 3 at the beginning of the next season.
g) Each player may only own one account. If this rule is violated, the player concerned will be excluded from the League.
1.4 Player Behaviour
a) All players are expected to behave with respect towards each other; the usual rules of Netiquette are to be observed. If a player causes trouble, he/she must count on a warning and, if necessary, a penalty.

1.5 Time zone
The time zone used will be Central European Time (CET/MEZ).
1.6 Game version
Every participant of the League must own a legal, original version of Cossacks 2. If a player is found to be using an illegal copy, he/she will immediately be excluded from the League. In principle the current version of the game will always be used. If for some reason there would be an exception to this, it will be announced in time by the League admins.
2. Scoring
2.1 Description of Events of a Season
-> see Game System
2.2 Game Overview
The game overview for every league is fixed by the gaming leader at the beginning of a season and published before the season begins.
2.3 Gaming Weeks
Every season is built up of a number of gaming weeks. Per week every player plays one match against an opponent from his/her own league. Each week a different map is selected by the gaming leader to be played on.
2.4 Tables
Every league has its own table. The players of the league are listed in it, sorted by number of victories. In certain situations a player can have a victory taken away from him/her. 5 victories then become 4, for instance.
2.5 Scoring
After a match result has been entered by the winner and confirmed by the loser, the scores are automatically updated. The result is automatically entered in the corresponding table of the corresponding league. The winner receives a victory, the loser a defeat.
2.6 Same number of victories
If two or more players have the same number of victories at the end of a season, the result of their seasonal match decides their final ranking.
3.Matches
3.1 Description of Events of a Match
3.1.1 Agreeing on a Date
a) Players who are to play against each other in a gaming week are to agree upon a match date no later than 4 days before the end of the gaming week. It is advisable to use the communications system for this. The date can be entered by one of the players under Matches/Tables. The other player must confirm the date there. Once the date is registered it's fixed and cannot be delayed anymore.
b) If a player knows beforehand that he/she will not be able to play on any date within a gaming week (because he/she is away on holiday for instance), he/she must report this to the match admin no later than 10 days before the gaming week. The match admin can then make preparations for a new date. With a delayed game the same rules apply for the game result as in a normal game.
c) If a player is unable to play on any date within the gaming week and has not reported this to the game admin in time, the match will be settled in favour of his/her opponent. A player who cannot agree on any date will lose a victory or will start the season with -1 victory. If this happens more than once, he/she can be excluded from the League.
d) If a player does not contact his/her opponent in time (4 days before the end of the gaming week) to arrange a match date, the match will be settled in favour of his/her opponent. A player who is unreachable will lose a victory or will start the season with -1 victory. If this happens more than once, he/she can be excluded from the League. The other player must report in time to the moderator responsible for the match that his/her opponent is unreachable.
e) If both players do not contact each other or the moderator, both will lose a victory. If this happens more than once, they can be excluded from the League. The match can not be made up later.
f) After one player has reported the date in the game admin, the other player has to agree or propose another date in 48 hours. If he doesn't do this he will lose a victory (-1).
3.1.2 Playing the Match
a) Both players must report in at least 20 minutes before the beginning of the match.
b) They must then find each other in the Cossacks 2 internet lobby and play the game on the specified map. At the end of the match both players are to take a screenshot of the winner/loser screen.
c) If a player reports in more than 15 minutes late or not at all, the match will be settled in favour of his/her opponent. The player present must immediately report the case to the moderator responsible for the match. The player who didn't appear will lose a victory or start the season with -1 victory. If this happens more than once, he/she can be excluded from the League.
3.1.3 Match Result
a) a) The result of a match is to be entered immediately by the winner under Matches/Tables. The result must then be confirmed by the loser within 24 hours.
b) b) If a player finds a match result to be incorrect, this must be reported to the responsible moderator immediately. His/her screenshot of the match result must be included. Complaints about match results are generally not possible anymore more than 48 hours after the match took place.
c) c) A player who deliberately enters a false match result will be excluded from the League.
d) d) If in doubt, the match will be re-played in the make up week.
3.2 Technical Details
3.2.1 Server Problems
If server problems occur, the match may be held over IP after consultation with the responsible moderator.
3.2.2 Connection Speed
Because a DSL/ISDN connection and a fast PC are obligatory for entering the League, slow connections shouldn't be a problem. If this is the case though, the player concerned should contact the moderator responsible for the match.
3.2.3 Lost Connections
If a connection is lost, the match is to be continued from the last saved state. If a second loss occurs, the match result doesn't count. Deliberately breaking the connection (quitting) is forbidden. The quitter will lose the match and lose a victory. If this happens more than once, he/she can be excluded from the League. If a player suspects his opponent of quitting the match deliberately, this must be reported to the moderator responsible for the match immediately. A clear screenshot must be included.
3.2.4 Changes of the Game / Mods
Any mods or other changes to the game are forbidden. The same holds for external programs which change the game (like trainers).
3.2.5 Hacks / Cheats
Hacking and/or cheating to gain a personal advantage in the game is forbidden. If this happens more than once, the player concerned will be excluded from the League. Cheating is:
In general to make use of bugs.
The use of the pause option in order to give commands. You'll only be allowed to use the option to pause a game if you ask or inform your opponent why you want to make use of it (for example if the phone rings or for a pee break). Do not break the pause until your opponent is ready as well.
Changig the nation when you're about to start the game.
The use of separate engineers in order to place powder barrels. Please only use engineers in formation!
The use of separate archers for attacking buildings as well.
To throw shells on buildings if the grenadiers stand more than one screen away from the concerning building.
