Due to the problem that only few league players are ready to play now in August (we have enough registrations but summer- and holliday time makes it maybe difficult for many to play), we have decided to postpone the start of season 3.
Therefore we'll take up 3rd official season of THE LEAGUE in late fall. Of course the seasonal fee will be repaid until then.
Nevertheless we're glad that some players have activated their accounts and we want to thank them by arranging a little, exclusive C2-summer tournament. Although it will be a fun tournament, we'll have some little prizes for the participants. The tournament will run on Cossacks2 Napoleonic Wars version 1.2 (the performance being optimized atm). The players will have the chance to match not only with other league players but also with some special guests like Jarema, some members of the Cossacks2-net.de Team and the journalist Martin Walter. We look forward to funny and hot battles. The summer tournament of the league will start Wednesday, August 9th (which is the 3rd birthday of Cossacks2-net.de) and will last for approximately 3 weeks. The participation is free but limited to players owning a player account for season 3. If you don't own an account yet but nevertheless want to participate, you have the chance to win two free starts for the tournament, which will be raffled among all players who inform me by mail (flo@cossacks2-net.de) until next Saturday.
[upadted 16/7/2006] After the successful release of the official Cossacks 2 Patch to version 1.2 on June 20th, Cossacks2-net.de THE LEAGUE is going to provide the improved C2 multiplayer experience.
Developed by Cossacks legend Mariusz "Jarema" Gadek in close cooperation with Cossacks2-net.de, the new version is going to build the fun base of season 3: Extensive bug-fixing, new comfort-features and a challenging new pro-balancing, everything is arranged. The two last seasons, which were both caped by breath taking Europan Play-Offs, are in fact the best argument for our league-system now based on MP-optimized version 1.2.

Registration for 3rd season of Cossacks2-net.de THE LEAGUE has been opened today.
The fully overworked, improved Patch-Balancing, which enables and requires new tactics, provides not only League-Pros with a new challenge. Due to the changes, it's also the best time, if you like to enter THE LEAGUE for the 1st time.
If you want to take part, please klick on registration and tip in the required data. If you've already taken part in the last season, no further registration is needed - you'll only have to write a short e-mail to league-administration (flo@cossacks2-net.de) to extend your player-account for 3rd season.
The seasonal fee will remain 3¤ and can be transferred easily from abroad over Pay-Pal.
Among all players, who activate their league-account for 3rd season, we're going to raffle together with CDV 3 free copies of the upcoming Cossacks2 Expansion "Battle for Europe".
An overview about the improvements and changes, which the upcoming patch to version 1.2 is going to bring, can be found on Cossacks2-net.de under Patch. The full list will be available in English soon.
We hope especially that we will also be able to motivate those players again, who generally like the gameplay, but who have paused playing Cossacks2 due to bugs and problems.
Concerning the popular European Play-Offs we'll offer this season additionally a new 2vs2 teamfinal (over Team-Sharing): Team E-League vs. Team D-Liga.
We're curious if this season a 3rd or 4th clan will be able to break last season's dominance of [RUKA] and [FEI]. Is for instance [TnL] again ready to try?
THE LEAGUE feat. Patch 1.2 - Experience the 3rd dimension!
Today, Cossacks2-net.de has launched the 1st camapign for the 3rd league-season, which will feature the upcoming Cossacks2 patch 1.2. The latter is being developed by the 1st EPO-champion and the two times winner of our D-League [FEI]Jarema. The programming of the patch has taken place in close contact, not only with GSC and CDV, but also with us and international top players.
This development provides us with the chance to boost THE LEAGUE into the 3rd dimension.
The 1st dimension? A challenging idea, turned into a well thought out and working league-system.
The 2nd dimension? A well thought out and working league-system feat. experience and a well-rehearsed, motivated team.
The 3rd dimension? A well thought out and working league-system, experience and a well-rehearsed, motivated team feat. a C2-patch, which fixes the most decisive bugs and which has been developed by one of the world's leading Cossacks2-players for Cossacks2-players's needs.
Of course you can also count on great prizes sponsored for instance by our 3 powerful supporters CDV, GSC and Gamershall. The Finalists of the 3rd EPOs will among other things win the last two tickets for the great league-meeting in Leipzig Germany at Europe's largest games faire, the GC Germany, this summer including the overnight stay in the **** Hotel "Leipziger Messe" and two day tickets.

We cordially congratulate [RUKA]Partizan aka I7apTu3aH on winning the 2nd European Play-Offs! He managed to win yesterday's grand final against the former EPO champion [FEI]Jarema. The full record of the final match is available for download in our Play-Offs section (updated!).
As main prize Partizan will receive Saitek's outstanding A-250 Wireless 2.1 Speaker System. In addition both finalists have been invited to attend our Games Convention Meeting in Leipzig/Germany staying at the **** NH-hotel "Leipziger Messe" and getting free entrance to Europe's largest games exhibition.
Winning the EPO final the Russian-Ukrainian Alliance managed to overtake Ferro Et Igni and finish on 1st rank of our clan ranking. The three RUKAs Partizan, Napysik and Golden Hind will each receive CDV's new standalone addon to American Conquest: Divided Nation as a little reward for their great league-performance.
We thank our finalists, the EPO-participants and especially also the [FEI]-clanmates Jarema, Koto, Matyas and Dianka for their great and exciting neck-and-neck race with [RUKA].
While I'm writing this news the current EPO champion [FEI]Jarema is going to face his strong challenger [RUKA]Partizan in the 2nd European Play-Off final. They match each other on the new map Sand Storm.
The EPO final match will also be decisive for this season's clan competition. Adding the 10%-bonus for the final victory [RUKA] would manage to overtake Ferro et Igni on the last meters.

The 1st semi final was won by [RUKA]I7apTu3aH. The latter managed to beat [FEI]Matyas.
In the 2nd semi final Matyas' clanmate [FEI]Jarema took revenge and faught successfully against [RUKA]Napysik. So we can look forward to a super final: [RUKA]I7apTu3aH vs [FEI]Jarema.

The two first players have succesfully managed to enter the semi finals of the 2nd European Play-Offs. They are: [RUKA]I7apTu3aH and [FEI]Matyas, who played his quarter final against his clan mate [FEI]koto. [RUKA]I7apTu3aH competed against [LoD]Billbo. Now it seems to be true that the E-league is filled with very strong players, what you could have thought at the beginning of this season. Till now no player of the D-Liga has reached the next round.
Hopes rest there in particular on [FEI]Jarema, who will play against [TnL]Studs on Sunday. Also [IG]Hipolit and [RUKA]Napysik will compete against each other on Sunday.

Both players, [RUKA]I7apTu3aH and [FEI]Matyas are going to play against each other in the semi final. It will be a thrilling game because both are spec****st in playing their nations Egypt and England and nobody or only a few players are better than them. Is [FEI]Matyas able to succeed with the masses of Egypt and will he be able to make [RUKA]I7apTu3aH dizzy so that he hasn't got the chance to play his strategy - a strategy which is really very succesfull and where you seem to have no great chances?

In the quarter finals the top 4 E-league players will compete with the 4 D-league qualificants. Last season's European Play-Offs were clearly dominated by the D-League representants. Regarding the aspect that this season there are new, very strong players qualified through the English League, it could be pretty different this time!
However, in the quarter finals the favorites will not yet meet each other. The winners of the E-League and D-League [RUKA]I7apTu3aH and [FEI]Jarema are due to the schedule able to face each other at the earliest in the grand final - preconditioned that they'll get there ...
